Butter Cookies

Butter Cookies are very tasty, crispy and light for a tea time snack. You can make any shapes, enjoy it with chocolaty dipping.                                          


BUTTER COOKIES

Preparation Time:  15 mins Baking Time: 15 mins Serves: 25 cookies
Ingredients:
Butter (Unsalted,Room Temperature) 50 grams
Powdered Sugar 70 grams
Vanilla Extract 1 tsp
Water 1 tbsp
All Purpose Flour 100 grams
Salt a pinch



Method of preparation:
  1. Take a wide bowl, add butter and powdered sugar, cream it well. Add vanilla essence, water then all purpose flour and mix it to a dough.                                 
  2. Divide the dough into two, wrap one part in a cling film and keep aside. Dust the working space with some flour and roll the dough into sheet into 1/4 inch thickness. Run a knife underneath the rolled sheet so it doesn't stick while removing.      
         
  3. Using cookie cutter, cut your desired shapes and place these in the baking tray lined with butter paper. Don't place them too close. Pre Heat the oven at 180 degrees C. Bake them at 180 degrees C for 15-20 minutes. Stop before the desired time, once the top of cookie starts browning. 
Notes: 
  • Keep repeating rolling out the dough to cut shapes until its over. 
  • You can sprinkle brown sugar or coconut shreds or grated chocolate over top at final two minutes.
