Egg Dosa Recipe | Breakfast Recipes

Egg dosa is one such easy recipe on a lazy morning. At times, I dont feel like even making a chutney for dosa. The best idea would be to have an egg dosa with idli podi or just the dosa. The best combo with egg dosa is red chilli chutney.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes Cooking Time: 3 minutes  Serves: 2 
Dosa Batter 2 laddles
Eggs 2
Pepper 1 tsp
Salt pinch
Oil 4 tsp

Method of Preparation:

1. Heat the dosa tava, once its hot, pour a laddle full of batter. Quickly spread around the batter in a circular motion till the end. Pour oil around the sides of dosa and drizzle in the centre. Next, break open an egg and pour on it, spread the egg around the dosa fully using the dosa spatula. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top.
2. Flip over the dosa to the other side, once its cooked. Switch off.

Serve it with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, red chilli chutney or idli podi.

  • You can also add vegetables and onions to the egg and cook.
  • My husband prefers using chilli powder along with salt and pepper. If you prefer the spice level to be high,you can try adding chilli powder
  • Ensure the egg is partially cooked while flipping the dosa.
