Method of Preparation:

1. Prepare the ingredients and keep it ready. Cut the left over chapathi's into thin and long strips like noodles with a knife. In a wide pan, heat oil and add onions, capsicum and green chillies. Saute till the onions turn translucent. Add tomatoes and garlic. Saute till the tomato turns mushy. Add the turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Let it cook in medium heat for 3 minutes. Sprinkle water if it tends to stick to the bottom of pan.

2. Add garam masala and salt. Saute well. Add the cut chappathi's.Toss gently and keep in simmer for 3 minutes. Turn Off. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Notes:

  • You can also add vegetables like, carrot, beans, cabbage and egg to make it healthy and tasty.
  • For kids, skip adding green chillies and reduce the spice level.
  • Serve hot with a dash of lemon juice.
  • Makes a good lunch box recipe too for fussy kids.
