Coriander Chutney | Kothamalli Chutney Recipe | Easy Chutney Recipes

Coriander chutney is another yummy option when you have no coconut at home to make coconut chutney for Idli Dosa.

CORIANDER CHUTNEY RECIPE
Recipe Category: S.Indian / Side Dish
Preparation Time: 50 minutes Cooking Time: 10 minutes Serves: 4
Ingredients:

Coriander Leaves - 1 cup, fresh, cleaned
Onion - 1, small or medium, roughly chopped
Green Chillies - 1, slitted
Dry Red Chillies - 1, broken
Coconut - 2 tbsp, grated, fresh
Tamarind - 1 tsp or 1 small sized ball
Salt - as required
Oil - 2 tsp

To Temper:
Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad Dhal - 1/2 tsp
Dry Red Chilli - 1, broken

Method of Preparation:

1. Prepare the required ingredients. Wash and chop fresh coriander leaves. In a kadhai, heat oil and add onion, green chilli, red chilli. Saute for a minute. Add grated coconut. Saute for a minute.
2. Add coriander leaves and mix well. It starts to shrink. Turn off. Add salt. Let it cool. Then grind to a fine paste with little water. Temper with mustard seeds, urad dhal and dry red chilli.

Serving Suggestion:
Chutney goes well with idli, dosa, chaat items, fried snacks.
