Fig Milkshake was introduced by my best buddy who is also in Chennai with a busy life. We happened to catch up in Railway station when we both had gone to drop our parents. It was already 11PM but he insisted we have at least a juice somewhere. So, we went to a famous food joint for juices and milkshakes. He wanted only Fig combo of drinks and when asked about it, he shared the health benefits of figs. Then on, I make few drinks to bring fig into our lifestyle in a delicious way. FIG MILKSHAKE

Preparation Time: 5 minutes Soaking Time: 2 hours / overnight Serves: 2
Ingredients:
Dry Fig - 6
Milk - 2 cups Water - as required to soak fig Vanilla Ice Cream - 2 scoops(Optional) Honey - 2 tbsp |
Fresh figs can also be used instead of dried figs.
Method of Preparation:
For 1 glass of fig milkshake, soak 3 figs in water overnight. In the morning, it swells up and the water colour changes. Add this to a blender or food processor and beat for a minute till it forms a paste. Add milk and blend again. Add honey to sweeten. Add once scoop of vanilla ice cream.
