Papaya Watermelon Salad Recipe | Healthy Foodie

Fruit Salad

I have always been a fit-foodie throughout my college days, after getting married and being away from family, cooking my own food, most of all delicious food blogging and my less active lifestyle has become an challenging phase. Its the phase of my life where I am learning to understand health, responsibility, weight gain, work out, diet, pregnancy, motherhood and so on...!!!

I was thinking to share the simple in between snacks that I have been having in my weight loss journey and finally decided to launch an page for the Healthy Foodie like me!!! Hope you guys will like it, and provide your love and support.

An simple recipe to welcome the page with is "Papaya Watermelon Salad with Sugar cane Juice"

We all know fresh fruits are very good for us. But do we intake the required amount our body needs?

We start including more nutrients into our body only when we start watching our weight or when we face a health issue. And, yes Fruits are the base to start with. It is good to intake the recommended amount of fruits our body requires.

The healthy reasons to start including fruit salad in your diet is
  • The high fibre fruits makes you feel fuller so you eat less and lose weight. It also lowers cholesterol levels and prevents constipation.
  • Antioxidants prevents your body from ageing and diseases, it works harder when paired with other antioxidants. So eating a mixed rainbow fruit salad will help you look more younger and active.
  • It cuts down calories and gives you the satisfaction of eating more. Curbs hunger and makes you feel energetic.

Don't: Salads themselves make a meal so have it as a snack in between meals or a meal itself. Never combine with meals.

If you have fruits and veggies sitting in your refrigerator for long, bring them together and make a delicious nutritious salad.
