A simple buttermilk drink with white pumpkin/poosanikkai which has many health benefits. Amma makes this whenever we have mouth ulcers. I drink this now to keep my body flushed out of toxins, natural body coolant, and for weight loss as it is believed to take away water retention from the body. Amma advises to take it in empty stomach for best results. It is best to have in summers as you might easily catch cold with this coolant drink.

Ingredients:
White Pumpkin - 1/2 cup, cubed
Curd / Yogurt - 1 cup
Mint Leaves - 3
Pepper - 1 tsp
Water - 1/4 cup
Curd / Yogurt - 1 cup

Water - 1/4 cup
Method of Preparation:
- Remove the skin and seeds in white pumpkin. Slice the pieces and blend to a fine paste. Add curd, salt, pepper and mint leaves. If required, add water and blend to a fine liquid.
- Consume immediately.
***Some might not like the thick buttermilk, you can seive the pumpkin pulp with enough water and then add other ingredients. In this way, you lose the fibre content of pumpkin.
