Recently ASUS had sent me this tablet ASUS ZENPAD 7 which is of great use for me to carry around anywhere without hassle to check my mails and easily socialize online with their fast connectivity, functionality and performance. ASUS ZenPad 7.0 Z370CG - The latest 7 inch tablet device from ASUS having a integrated speaker within the tablet cover making it an perfect entertainment device.

Design and Build Quality

The Asus ZenPad 7.0 has an attractive premium design with a great built to look sleek and stylish to use having high technology which makes it work like a breeze. The front of the device is dominated by a 7 inch HD display. The rounded edges gives a comfortable grip and a premium appearance. The rear cover looks so stylish and easy to grip with its chrome-effect trim and grippy texture. Overall the look of the device is light weight, easily portable, high class and stylish.

The device comes in two different colour: Obsidian Black and Aurora Metallic with fashionable embossed leather pattern. The device comes with a audio cover which can be used with the tablet by removing the back-cover and replacing it with the audio cover to experience the cinema style music. The backcover can be easily detached and the audio cover can also be easily attached. The covers can be exchanged to suit your need and mood. I really enjoyed playing HD video songs. The audio quality and experience is fantastic.

ASUS has taken the tablet a step ahead with this stylish chargeable audio cover. It is a perfect cover for enhancing the movies, YouTube videos and music. Are you a music lover, then audio cover is a must add on which you would love to use for its sound!

Display

The ASUS ZenPad 7 has a high definition IPS panel display with anti-fingerprint coating makes viewing a great experience. Being IPS panel, the colours are realistic and viewing angles are strong. It comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass and it doesn't get scratched so easily. The screen at maximum brightness looks quite ok but perfect outdoor readability with ASUS Tru2Life Technology by automatically enhancing the contrast and back light making the text much easier to read.

ASUS has combined technologies to form ASUS VisualMaster which gives a realistic visual experience. Automatic adjustments of visual aspects like Colour Enhancement, Contrast and Sharpness, Clarity and Brightness, Wide Viewing Angle gives the user a rich experience while gaming or clicking a selfie or watching an video or socializing with friends on Facebook.

The ASUS Splendid application can be used to automatically enhance and adjust the colours on screen. I liked the vivid screen colour mode. Yes, its the colour settings a food blogger would love. It does give a good experience viewing the photos taken.

Hardware and Performance
The Intel Atom processor and 2GB of RAM gives great speed and runs smoothly to support for day-to-day web browsing, quickly navigating menus or socializing. On continuous usage for 2 hour I felt the tablet to be getting a little warm. The device is overall fast in performance, quickly switch between apps or navigating menus, launching applications and no considerable lag. Thus the tablet gives you an fantastic experience.
On the storage front, ZenPad 7 has 8/16 variants, expandable up to 64GB.

Camera, Connectivity and Battery
A 8 megapixel primary camera on the rear with auto focus and a 2 megapixel front camera for selfies. The front camera has Beautification Mode (to improve pictures by adjusting the softness or brightness of the skin) for a flawless selfie.

ASUS camera helps me to take quick shots of food photography for which otherwise I should be taking with dslr. For food photography, the improved contrast and sharpness is whats needed and the 8 MP camera does justice. Its light weight and sleek design makes it easy to handle while clicking food pictures.

Connectivity is of normal standards like any other device. Battery life of over 8 hours for a calling tablet is quite good though gaming the charge drain is high.
